Garden Wedding

I did a Buddhist blessing ceremony at the Bodhi area in Melaka. It was very similar to the garden wedding setting which I had longed for. With the help of BFs and Thomas's magical hands, we had a beautiful set up. It was simply gorgeous.

At the entrance of the Bodhi area, we had an arch and 2 small pomanders by Thomas Tan.

Prior to the wedding, I made 10 pomander using pink & white roses.
They were hung on the lamp posts inside the Bodhi area.

Pomanders & Me

I've always LOVED pomanders! They're fragile but strong at the same time.
I have made several pomanders myself for my pre-wedding photo-shoot which has a theme of 'Champange & Brown'.

Pomanders can be very expensive. It'll cost much more than a bouquet of imported flowers.
It needs a lot of flowers to make up a ball. The handle depends on your requirements/preferences. You can play with ribbons, beadings or even chains.

So, if you're thinking of having pomanders for your wedding bouquet, bridesmaid, flower girls, or even for deco, there are a few things to consider:-
1) Theme color
2) Types of flowers you plan to use - chrysanthemum makes a ball classic & lasts longer
3) Oasis (sponge balls) size - the bigger it is, the more flowers u need

Some pomanders that inspired me:-

White & Blue Theme

Pink roses with pearl white beads handle

Yellow Gerberas (yellow & green themes are good for garden weddings)

You can opt for plastic flowers too.

Wedding guestbook

This is my first ever project - wedding guestbook.
One of my BFs tied the knot in March & this is my little pressie for her & her hubby.

The pictures below are the pages that are ready but not compiled into a booklet yet.
Theme : Chinese

This is the front cover of her guestbook.
Material : Cheongsam silk & a pair 3D buttrerflies

The inner cover & the first page
The 'double happiness' was hand-carved.

Congrats Lian & BK! Love ya!

Hey ya!

Hi, I'm Tracy. Welcome to my blog !

My husband & I have been planning for our very own wedding since last year.

We wanted the best for our wedding right from the bridal packages, flowers, favors, guestbook and more. So, we hopped in & out of various shops, we cling-ed onto the net for ideas and resources and asking our friends for opinions.

As we are all well aware, personalized and gorgeous stuffs comes in "nice" prices.
Often enough, we got a spank on our butts.
Subsequently, we will have to opt for something inexpensive.
I realise that wedding expenses are a main concern to many couples who are planning a wedding.

So, I've decided to make them myself. Eventually, it turned into passion.
So, my journey began here...

Best regards,
Tracy
